~ SYNOPSIS ~
The Nameless Protagonist died suddenly, leaving behind a life full of unfulfilled dreams and aspirations. Now, the protagonist is stuck in the spirit world, where he must find a way into heaven while a dangerous evil entity lurks to take his soul.
~ GAMEINFO ~
“Hereafter” is a short horror game where the player must find and enter a bright door to progress. The game also allows players to read people’s thoughts or listen to their conversations by pressing “Mouse Left Click”. However, players must be careful as an evil spirit lurks in the game.

very spooky game. a somewhat unsettling, moderately incoherent fever dream. I didn't know what a gigli saw was, I'd seen them (most memorably in the movie audition), I just didn't know they were called that!

We were watching "Saw X (awesome movie!)" during the development of Hereafter. There's a scene there with a gigli saw, and I remember another movie with it "Hereditary (another awesome film!)". That movie, Audition, is unforgettable, and I love that movie.
HereAfter is a very well made and creepy game, im rather impressed that it was a game jam game, please make more games like it! maybe a continuation????

A little bit dark, sad and absolutely well-made.
I enjoyed game's story the most. It was such a unique way to approach this and I was honestly surprised by how much it was moving too. Of course, the creeps and scares are definitely there, but I felt that the character was 3 dimensional, real. Good immersion with the visuals and sound.
